Allied Churches has launched a new campaign to raise funds and awareness about homelessness in Alamance County. The new campaign addresses how homelessness affects people from all walks of life and all ages - including children.
Every day, numerous children take the bus to school from their “home” at the shelter of Allied Churches. After school they return. They have no other “home” to go to - no back yard to play in, no “after school” snack in a warm kitchen, no quiet bedroom to do their homework. That is the reality for homeless children in Alamance County.
Until we break the cycle of poverty and homelessness, we need to rely on you, our neighbors and friends, for financial support. Today, Allied Churches provides food, shelter and resources for the needy and homeless in our community.
With your tax deductible gift we can continue to provide the services that are so desperately needed:
• $25/month provides 1 person with 3 free, hot meals a day for a month.
• $50/month means a safe place to stay with the basic necessities of life.
• $100/month gives the caring and support our residents need to exit the street for 3 months.
Will you help? Please give as generously as you are able.

Allied Churches sheltered more than 360 men and 165 women last year. This means we need thousands of disposal razors over the course of a year. The next time you go shopping we invite you to buy a few extra packs and donate them to the shelter. Every gift, regardless of the amount, makes a difference. Every dollar we spend on toiletries and supplies is one less dollar we can spend on food and shelter. For more information on gifts and giving please send an e-mail to donations for Allied Churches of Alamance County, Inc. You may also call our administrative office at (336) 229-0881 during normal business hours. We sincerely appreciate your support of Allied Churches' mission.
