In late 2014, the outpouring of support from the surrounding community made it apparent that a change was needed here. In order to better serve ACAC's generous donors and volunteers, a Volunteer/Donor Coordinator staff position was created. Luckily for us, the best candidate was already here!
Brittany Graybeal came on as Food Services Advocate at ACAC in September of 2014. Her hard work in the Food Pantry and Food Collection Site stood out, and her friendly demeanor helped ACAC create lasting relationships in the community.
When asked about her new role, Brittany said:
"In my role as Food Services Advocate, I enjoyed building relationships with ACAC's community partners. When the Volunteer/Donor Coordinator position came available, I knew that it would be a great opportunity for me to immerse myself in the giving community here. I think it's important that we get to know those that help make our organization a success. I look forward to building a stronger volunteer program through trainings and orientations that will better equip volunteers to serve our guests."
Originally from White Lake, NC, Brittany moved to Burlington in 2012. She is a newlywed and also a brand new puppy mom! She looks forward to meeting more of the people that make ACAC what it is today- our "Allied Community."
