Our needs are growing. As ACAC has taken on a leadership role in our community, more and more men, women, children...families are relying on us for food, shelter and other resources. 

See below for our current needs and Donation Guidelines.

The ACAC Holly Hill Mall donation site (inside mall beside Dave’s Furniture) is open Monday through Friday from 12pm- 4pm to accept donations. Donations can also be dropped off at ACAC (206 N. Fisher St. Burlington) Monday through Friday from 8:30am – 4:30pm. Please enter through the glass door facing Trade St. (closest to Fisher St.).

Diapers

We need diapers, especially larger sizes - 4, 5, and 6

Plastic Covers

We need plastic pillowcase cpvers and plastic twin size mattress covers for our beds and pillows in the shelter.

Ironing Boards

Any type, two (2) needed

Shower Curtains

New shower curtains & liners

USB thumb drives

Needed for saving resumes/job applications

Underwear

New underwear for men (boxers), women & children; bras

Antibacterial wipes

Any brand, bulk sizes preferred

Lotion

Hand and body lotion, any brand, full sizes preferred

Men's and women's full-size deodorant, any brand

Bar Soap

Full-sized ideal

Shampoo/Conditioner

Travel-size.

Gift Cards

Gift cards of $10-$50 from Target, Walmart, Walgreens, or CVS and gasoline cards for our residents to make their own personal purchases for themselves or their children; LINK Transit passes also critically needed

Large Men's Shoes

We need all types of men's shoes sizes 11 - 13

Move-out Kits

Most people that leave the ACAC Shelter for permanent housing have given up everything they have and are starting over. Basic household items are needed to assist those moving out with getting their new homes started. An ideal move-out kit (often packaged in either a large plastic storage bin, laundry basket, or kitchen trash can) includes:

Dish Towels

For kitchen cleanup.

Sleeping Pillows, Bed Sheets, and Pillowcases

All sizes, NEW

Bathroom Items

Bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, shower curtains and hooks.

Cleaning Products

Mops, sponges, dishwashing detergent, hand soap, laundry detergent.

Small Kitchen Appliances

Coffee makers, toasters, toaster ovens.

Flatware

Knives, forks and spoons.

Drinking Cups

Tumblers and coffee cups.

Cooking Utensils

Spoons, spatulas and all the basics to prepare a good meal at home.

Pots and Pans

New or very gently used preferred.

Sandwich Bread

White/wheat sliced bread
